Language Buró OÜ guarantees quality and compliance with delivery dates. If an order is not satisfactory, we will review or remake it at our expense, as quickly as possible. In case the client is still not contempt with the review, they may request a partial reimbursement. Please check our conditions and procedures for contesting an order.
General Sales Conditions
These terms apply to all projects performed and delivered by Language Buró to all its clients.
All translation requests have to be accompanied by a written acceptance by the client of the quotation of services provided by Language Buró, or a written order of services including the price agreed on by both parties.
The costs of projects will be calculated based on word count of source language, unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
Turnaround requirements agreed on will be observed. In case of any delays caused by Language Buró or any of its contractors, the client will be promptly informed. In case of delays longer than 2/3 of the total duration of the project in business days, and if Language Buró OÜ is exclusivily and directly responsible for the delay, the client may ask for a partial or full refund.
The company will not be liable, however, for any delays caused by machines, servers, or carriers not directly controlled by Language Buró.
All documents and information received by Language Buró or any of its partner, and linguists shall be treated in strict confidence and will not be passed on to third parties, exploited or used without written consent of the customer.
The client may inform Language Buró of specific intended uses of the translations. For technical texts, reference documents such as drawings, diagrams, and/or glossaries shall be provided by the client to provide a better understanding of the documents.
In cases where the purpose of the translation is not clearly stated, Language Buró shall translate it for information and understanding purposes with the usual industry quality standards. The company will strive to deliver an accurate and idiomatic translation of the original texts, however, the company accepts no liability for any reasons whatsoever for translations that are not stylistically satisfactory, particularly for advertising and promotional material.
In case of discontent, complaints will only be taken into consideration within seven days of delivery, accompanied by original documents, disputed documents and a letter of explanations. After seven days, all jobs will be considered accepted.
All invoices must be paid within 7 working days from the date of issue unless explicitly agreed otherwise. All current orders of that client may be suspended in the event that is not observed.
In case of late payments or failure to pay, the entirety of the debt may be collected immediately and strictly without previous notice or other formalities. Language Buró OÜ reserves the right to request interest calculated according to the official rate of the Eesti Pank (Bank of Estonia) in effect as of the date that such late payment is made.
Any expenses incurred to settle the case must be reimbursed by the client.
LANGUAGE BURÓ OÜ AND/OR RELATED SUPPLIERS DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE ANY GUARANTEE OR CONDITION RELATED TO SERVICES OFFERED, INCLUDING ALL IMPLICIT GUARANTEES AND CONDITIONS REGARDING SALABILITY, SUITABILITY FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OWNERSHIP AND NON VIOLATION OF THE RIGHTS OF OTHERS. LANGUAGE BURÓ OÜ AND/OR RELATED SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE, FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER, FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR FOR ANY OTHER DAMAGES OF ANY TYPE RESULTING FROM THE LOSS OF RIGHTS TO USE, LOSS OF INFORMATION OR LOST PROFITS, WHETHER THEY RESULT FROM PERFORMANCE OF THE CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHER DETRIMENTAL ACTIONS, DERIVING FROM OR IN SOME WAY CONNECTED WITH THE SERVICES OF LANGUAGE BURÓ OÜ.
